Firs time I come early!

Hello dear readers. Yes, I work on Sundays also. My boss is quite bossy.

I rest on Saturdays, but is not what you would call "resting" is more like a day to do with personal stuff that I can't do while working on weekdays.

So I disable my clock alarm on Friday night so I can sleep a little bit more on Saturday Morning. My problem is that sometimes I forget to set it up on Saturday night to wake up on time on Sundays. And this just happened today.

I woke up exactly at the time I was supposed to be working, and I had to do everything in fast forward motion, I didn't have a breakfast, didn't shower, etc. But I got here about half an hour late anyway.

Then when I turned on my laptop I saw my google calendar with big red letters that "Daylight time savings ends today"

So in fact I got here half an hour earlier!! I wanted to go back and sleep a little more but nah! I'm sure my boss is rubbing his hands with this free work-time I'm doing.

Ok I have to go now, I need to put some salvia on vials.

Cold salvia.

I was grown up on a hot weather, and this is the reason it's very difficult to get used to Milwaukee weather.

The last couple of weeks have been extremely cold, at least in my point of view.

The lab has an outlet for hot air with an old steel fan. It's just a hole in the wall with a fan pointing out to help circulate the air and bad odors.

It was fine on summer, but now is the main source of cold air to the lab. It has a sort of aluminum blinds that shout down when the fan is not working, but they're not designed to keep cold air outside.

So I patched it, I used carton paper and duct tape to seal the hole.

Now it's not that cold, but I think the patch has nothing to do with it but the weather that got up a little since last weekend.

We'll see how that patch works with real snowing weather, unfortunately I'll be the one suffering the consequences if it fails.

I'll let you know the outcome.

I know you missed me, no need to say anything.

Sorry! I was busy! Learning how to make salvia extracts and packaging kratom and rivea. It's easy to do all those stuff separately, but once you have to make all of them in one day, it's not easy anymore.

That added to my previous job attending people at our chat customer service and some other internet-related stuff made these past days close to a nightmare.

This blog was the one who had to pay the toll of all this frenzy. And this is why I haven't written my stuff before.

We've added a Facebook, Youtube and Stumbleupon buttons to our main page, not just that, but we also added a Twitter plugin to keep you up-to-date on our promotions and special offers.

We also separated salvia page into Live Salvia Plants and Salvia Extracts, and we converted this page into a new one with all of our products, still called of course: Products page.

We have some other plans in the near future but our economic situation is not at its best, so they'll have to wait a couple of weeks.

I hope I can continue writing here forever, since I like to write, doesn't matter that sometimes you laugh on my bad English writing skills.

I'm gonna explain my job and then you can tell me if you wouldn't like to be in my shoes.

I'm in charge of manufacturing salvia extracts at our lab in Black Hat Botanicals since 2 months ago.

It was a little bit difficult to learn everything because the steps to follow looked easy, but you know what they say about things that look easy. Well, I already learned them, some of them the hard way.

Today I was talking to my boss, brainstorming new ideas to continue with our success in the herbal extract industry, and I popped up a question that I've had in my mind for a month or so.

I told my boss that I was afraid that the quality of our products could diminish a bit with this change of manufacturer, since he used to be in charge of that part of the process from a long time ago, at least on the supervision area and we always had good reviews from our customers.

Now he's into other things and he let me in charge of salvia extracts and other herbs production and I had that doubt. I told him that I would like him to check the product like a "quality control" test.

He was ok with that, he told me to get him some product I've done lately. I get him a container for our 10X and he got a glass pipe, I asked him what he was going to do with the glass pipe. He said that he was going to test the quality of the salvia. I said that I didn't mean that, I was just asking him to take a look to the extracts I made and compare it to the one he used to do.

He said he could do that, but it was better to smoke it and compare the quality of the trip itself.

Well, as he is the boss, What could I do, right? I told him I'll be the sitter. He took one of our new glass pipes and put some 10x in it, then he lighted it.

I was worried because it was the first time I see someone smoking salvia next to me, I've just watched them in Youtube and it looked like fun, but in reality I was a little nervous about my performance as a newbie sitter.

And yes, he was there going up on the trip and I was telling him to pass me the glass pipe and the lighter, which he forgot to put in the floor, and I had to tell him at least a couple of times before he finally did it.

To be my first time as a sitter it was a busy one, he stood up once, so I had to say: "sit down" he did it, then said something like: "What did I smoke, what did I smoke?" I said: "Salvia" and he said: "oh!" then he stood up again and I said "sit down" again, fortunately for both of us, he understood what I said, even if he didn't seem to be listening at all, so he sat down again.

He started to say: "Do we sell this thing? It's awesome!" I was focused on watching him and to prevent any accident so I didn't answer.

Then, when I thought everything was settling down he stood up for the third time, I told him to keep sat down but he didn't listen this time, he said he was ok, and I believed him at first, but then he start's laughing at me, he said: "Yes, I'm ok, but you look like a doctor and you're watching me" (I was wearing my lab coat) It didn't make sense at that time, I had to stand up and ask him to sit down again, which now he did.

Then the effect passed out, he stood up and looked out the window, and said: "man! this is good $hit!" So, what's better quality description for a product than that? Specially if said by the man who pays you to manufacture it.

But it didn't end there, while he was recovering from it, I told him that I envy him because I tried salvia before and I've never got a good trip. So he said: "ok, do it now" but I was like unsure. I told him that I don't like to do it with so many distractions surrounding me (daylight, street noise, and specially him looking at me).

After a lot of thinking I finally decided to do it, my boss lowered the blinds and he told me he would be in the other room just in case. I agreed and smoked some of it, he told me it was too much and I let some smoke go. I kept it in my lungs around 20 seconds and waited but I didn't feel anything. I went to my boss and told him the bad news, he told me that I didn't smoke enough and I should try again. I did it again but nothing happened, I just felt a little drunk.

Both of the experiences happened in less than 1 hour but I learned a lot. Specially by being a sitter. This is what I learned:

When you're a sitter, you should never think you know what the smoker is going to do, it happened to me with the pipe and lighter and after that with the standing ups. It's better if you talk about what to do with the pipe/bong and lighter/matches minutes (to put them in the floor, table or hand it to you) before the person you're taking care of starts smoking, he or she is gonna have some seconds of awareness to do this before the experience starts.

When the person stands up, at least with my boss, he understood perfectly when I told him to sit down the first couple of times, but in the third one it took longer to respond.

This tells me two things: as a sitter you can try to talk, warn or yell in case of a danger as a first resource. But you must not get too confident that the smoker is gonna listen all of the time, like he didn't that third time.

I was impressed that he always talked coherently, something that most of the people I've seen on youtube videos couldn't do.

We talked about our experiences some minutes after and he told me that he felt he was swinging back and forth, and that he was passing through 3 different realities, back being one, the middle another and the front another one, which it was the one I was in. He said that he felt he could choose any of the three to be in. Then he told me what he was seeing when he was standing up the third time laughing at me. He said that I looked like a doctor, and when I stood up and told him to sit down, with my body ready to catch him up in case he tripped or run, I looked like one of those nurses from mental hospitals trying to catch the crazy guy to prevent him to hurt himself. That was to a certain point true and after he told me that I also laughed about it.

Then we discuss about why I couldn't have the same experience he had using the very same product. My thought is that my lifestyle is not the same than his. He's way more spiritual than me, he keeps some special diet and prays, and don't drink too much, and on the contrary, I drank last week when my girlfriend came to spend her vacations here, and I eat anything that moves. I read that sex and drinking habits among other food choices had to do with the outcome of Salvia experiences. I'll read more about this and make some experiments with myself to let you know what's the best way of having the best Salvia experience ever.

And finally, he told me "what other job can you have where the boss smokes up with you? in fact, orders you to smoke!"

Yes, I completely agree. Too bad that I'm not working at Porsche's, I'd be driving like crazy on some race track against my boss!!

Tornados in Milwaukee!

I was in the lab grinding salvia divinorum leaves, when I heard on the radio the warning alert system, I used to hear it in Mexico as a test, but never for a real situation.

This time was different and they were broadcasting a tornado alert, very close to our place to not to worry.

Fortunately my boss was here and I asked him about the possibility of a tornado in this area. He just answered:

"Umm... between summer and winter we have a lot of tornadoes in Wisconsin"

and I was like:

"What?!!"

Then he said:

"I didn't want to tell you this before because you probably wouldn't come to Wisconsin, but don't worry, tornadoes usually kill around 50 people a year"

Am I supposed to be relieved by that?

I barely squeezed through the H1N1 flu to be here and be killed by a tornado?

Come on!!

Hello, I'm back! You're surprised aren't you? You didn't expect me to return again this day, but I did.

I'm in Milwaukee working with salvia now, and I'll talk about this in later posts, but this one is to tell you about my flight experience.

I've never flown before and I was excited about the experience, that's why I asked for window seats. But unfortunately, as I told you in a former post, I didn't make it on time, and they put me as stand-by passenger, without the possibility of choice my one seat number.

My bad luck didn't end there, because I got the seat between the window and the aisle, that also means to be between 2 persons, they were both women.

And as the travel was with one stop in Atlanta to change airplanes, I also had to go in the middle seat, surrounded by, again, 2 women, (not complaining).

I thought that the take-off was going to be the hardest part, but it wasn't, just the taxiing was a little shaky.

Being in the air was pleasant and I could see a little bit through the window Los Angeles night lights. I was impressed, and I was like a kid looking the sea for the first time.

All the time while in the air was smooth and quiet, and being my first flight, that helps my confidence in airplanes.

It was an excellent experience, I hope is not the last.

Now I'm here preparing the salvia that you may be using in the future.

After exactly 1 month, I'm back by popular demand, now I'm busier than before, now I know how to do salvia extracts and I'm in charge of it.

My journey to LAX

Well, I was excited to get the first plane flight of my life, but the excitement didn't last much when I realized that I was late to get to LAX.

This is the chronicle:

I woke up at 5 am, because I needed to check if the money I was waiting for was already available at the ATM. With the coincidence that my sister wakes up at that hour to move her car, for another car to go out of the garage. She offered that I drive there instead of taking the bus and come back. So I gladly accepted, it was fast, and the money was there.

Til then, everything was ok, but then everything changed, but in little amounts of time, I have to set clear that there's no other person responsible about what happened than me.

My sister offered herself to give me a ride to the border, which I also accepted, because it'd save me a lot of time, unfortunately, I forgot that ladies don't go out anywhere looking like they just woke up. So she took a bath, I can credit her that she did it fast enough. But then she wanted to pass for her friend because she didn't know how to get to the border.

But guess what! the guy had to take a shower also, and we have to wait for him around 20 mins, it was early enough anyway, but her friend proposed that I should not go without having a breakfast, and then I started hesitating about my time. Unfortunately I make some calculations and I ended thinking that I had enough time to get to the LAX on time.

All this was taking away all the time ahead I had, so slowly, that I didn't realize when it was 9 AM already, even so I thought it was enough time to get to my destination.

Crossed the border, bought the bus ticket to LA, and it went out at 9 30, the lady on the counter said that the bus would take 3 hours to get there, so that would be 12 30 right? Maths don't fail!

Well, they did. It was the traffic hour on the freeway number 5 and it delayed the bus enough to get me desperate, so I thought on a plan B, to get off the bus on Santa Ana station, which also is a train station, to get the metrolink and get to Union Station ( the place where the buses going to LAX depart ) in no time.

So I told the driver that I wanted my luggage because I was staying in Santa Ana, the guy asked me: "are you sure?" I said "yes" and I went to the ticket screen to check what time the next metrolink would depart. It said that the next one would depart 3 hours from that time. I thought: "Damn!" So I checked the Amtrak schedule, which is a little more expensive but it passes more frequently, but the next one was going to leave at 12 30 arriving to Union Station at 1:30. So from plan B, I had to go back to plan A, and I went back to the bus, that fortunately for me, stays 10 mins on every station, so, I did all of the above in less than 10 mins.

I asked the driver if I could go back in, he said that it was ok, he asked what happened, I explained to him that I wanted to reach to the airport the fastest possible, he told me that he could leave me 5 blocks away from Union Station, that he would let me know where.

The problem was that the freeway 5 traffic was heavy, it slowed us too much, as agreed, the driver told me: "this is it, take that street, 5 blocks to the right, and you'll see Union Station"

It was nearly 1 PM when this happened, I arrived to Union Station around 1:15, and the next bus to the airport was leaving at 1:30, my plane was going to take off at 1:50.

So, no chance to get there on time. I got the the airport check-in around 2:10.

With all the shame in the world I showed my printed receipt to the lady in charge and she said that they won't have any planes until 10:30 which is the one I'm waiting for here at the LAX.

I'll let you know some other things I saw here, if other situation, this would've been fun specially with salvia extracts.

My DL problem.

I'm sorry! I'm gonna start this subject again, and I don't care what you say.

The lack of response from the DMV to solve my driver license problem has a glimpse of discrimination, I sorry to pop up that subject but the repeated cases where I wanted a clear explanation with no results drove me to this matter.

I'm not saying that the whole country is discriminatory, not even a certain part of the population, I'll go directly on some of the public servers that treated me with no ethics nor patience.

I guess they think that if they delay or manage to avoid the delivery of that card would be a good for their fellows citizens. That I will go back to my country or at least make harder my chances to success in the US, allowing with this to some real Americans to get a job.

Nothing more far from the truth, the problem with this is that you already have a problem, you have that guy in your country, and if he's prone to commit an ID theft, what else wouldn't he do? Is that protection to your fellows?

In the other hand, if I've already fixed this problem, that guy would be in jail sooner or later, right after he's caught by the police he'll be identified as the author of an ID theft crime and he would be in jail for a longer time, and perharps even deported.

If you want in your country an illegal guy, who's gonna keep doing DUI and ID thefts instead of a person who went to your Embassy to get a Visa, then to the border to get the I-94, then to the DMV for a DL to abide American laws, so be it.

Meanwhile I'll buy salvia extracts and relax from all this nonsense.

I dreamed I ...

I had a dream about a month ago. I dreamed something unusual.

I was fixing the front cover of the old air conditioner in my room, it fell almost every day, so I decided to put it back.

But I wasn´t wearing any shoes, the floor was wet and the a/c was connected and working. I tried to pull the cable away from the wall, to avoid any electrical shock.

But then my girlfriend stomp in the room screamming: "What happened?" "Why..."

I answered without looking at her: "Is nothing, I was just..." I didn´t finish that phrase when I hear my girlfriend sobbing and crying.

I had to turn around and I saw her right by my side hugging a dead body on the floor. It was my dead body.

But instead of asking myself what or how this happenned, I started yelling: "Damn! Why did I had to leave her! How could I be so stupid and reckless with the a/c!" "I´m dead, and I left her alone, how stupid I am"

Meanwhile, in the room everything was moving in fast forward motion, I saw that the fire man entered took out my body, the sun was going down pretty quickly until it stationed in an angle that gave a sense of an eternal crepuscle inside the room.

And I staid in that same place in front of the a/c punishing myself with remorse and phrases by being such a stupid boyfriend, dying so early with so many future plans.

I don´t know how weird this sounds, but I guess this is better than being under Salvia Divinorum effects.

It's been a long time since I haven't talked about my job on SEO, it's time for an update.

This is a great news, but not for my boss. Our page is # 1 in Google and MSN with one keyword, but the funny thing is that I haven't done anything to place it in that rank.

That keyword is: "Flavored Salvia Extracts" I guess that this is a result from my on-site SEO, but I can't be completely sure, because if this were the reason, I would've adapted all the other keywords to my on-site strategy.

I said that my boss is not as happy because he wants our web site to be # 1 in every main keyword, which I failed to do, but we're on the first page for most of them and that's a fairly good job for someone without SEO experience.

Living in Tijuana, with salvia extracts.

I'm living in Tijuana because of things of fate. I used to live here a long time ago (9 years aprox.) for one year.

It seems it hasn't changed at all, unless, maybe the number of cars on the street and the number of holes on the pave.

There is the same transportation system called "calafias", but the old taxies are now vans.

They're revamping some of the main streets but the majority of them are still useless for the growing car traffic needs.

There are tourists, but not as much as early this century. Personally, I can't tell if the crisis has hit this place because it seems that in Tijuana has always been in crisis.

I think this would be a great place to sell salvia extracts, and if they're www.blackhatbotanicals.com, the better.

Identity theft!!

I knew about this since a long time ago, but I've never thought that it could happen to me.

In my travels to America for business, specially to buy salvia, I knew that most of illegals immigrants use fake or stolen SSN to be able to work there.

But I got a big surprise when I went to the DMV to renew my driver license. This was not the first time I've renewed my DL, so, I was very confident on getting it without hassles.

Unfortunately, this was not the case, when I got to the DMV desk, after waiting in line for about 2 hours, they told me that my DL was suspended because of DUI, that I needed the SR_22 to prove that my record was clean. And I thought: "wait a minute, I have never driven DUI, much less caught"

So, being this the first time it happened I didn't know what was next, so I asked the teller what to do if that guy wasn't me, and he would probably used my DL number to get away from being in jail.

She gave me a court case number and the Court's phone number to ask for info about the case. I called the next day, and they said that I must be in person at the court before 9:00 AM.

That sounds easy, but if you're in Tijuana, and the Court is in Santa Ana, CA, that's another story. I had to wake up at 4:00 AM 1 hour to take a bath and put my clothes on, another one to get to the border, 2 hours to get to Santa Ana, and half an hour to get to the court, that gives me to 8:30.

They attended me very well, but there was too many people before me waiting for their cases to be solved by the Judge. So I finished the Court case around midday, but I ended up very glad about the American justice system. It turned out that the guy that used my name was one former roommate.

Finally, they gave me a paper where they release me of all responsibility on the case, I went to the DMV office right after, but they said that I must wait a couple of days to apply for a DL renewal, because the Court's data wasn't received already.

Anyway, I feel relieved that all this nuisance is over, and I will take more care about my personal data in the future.

I've been living at the same house about 25 years and our city government had paved almost all the streets around our house, but never the one where ours is.

To give you an idea of how things are done around here, they ask the people living in the street they plan to pave for the half of the cost to get the job done, but if one of us can't or don't want to pay, they won't do anything at all.

This was our case for several years, even one time, several years ago, they asked for money, we gave our part, but it was a fraud. Yes, we never saw that money again, and to think about report them to the police, hey, it's Mexico I'm talking about!

Well, now we manage to gather the money for our government to work, and they took away around 3 feet of our street, that means that we don't have a street right now, we have a hole of the size of our street, we hope they finish in some months, but we're in Mexico, and we know that we'd lucky if they finish before storm season.

Well, now that you know a little more about my beloved country (what if I hated it? right?) I'm gonna keep working on bringing you the best Salvia Divinorum Extracts in the world.

Ignorance about salvia.

I've always been against ignorance, which in the case of salvia is a reality nowadays.

Unfortunately, ignorance is one of the greatest weapon of control in this Psychological wars era.

The ones in power rely on ignorance of the masses to achieve their egoist interests, if you haven't thought about this, take a little time in your life to meditate on this, you'll see that what I'm writing is true.

In the particular case of salvia, governments and some ignorants are taking advantage on this new discovery in botanics to make their governed believe they're in control, when with a little personal research with any search engine would clear all their doubts, realizing that salvia is a harmless plan.

Those in power will never change, that's what they're there for, but you can change, don't believe everything that they say, make your own research, and be free of being controlled because of ignorance.

Ten days! Wow! I'm impressed also! When I started this blog I didn't think it would turn difficult to find time and/or stories to keep the blog running, but this has been the case, and I admit it.

I guess that flu H1N1 is in control in Mexico, I don't mean that it won't be more infected people, or even dead ones because of the virus. I just mean that we're now aware of its symptoms and its deadliness. WHO has congratulated Mexican government and citizens for their civic and mature response to this new virus, that handled carelessly would've got millions of lives throughout the world.

Nevertheless we paid our toll, we're facing one of the greatest economic crisis of our history.

I personally ask to my readers to come to visit Mexico, we depend in great part on tourism, and you can take advantage of our low prices for tourists and our beautiful touristic places.

Rivea Corymbosa, or Rivea seeds, are originary of Mexico, but spread all over central America and a little more to the South, reaching Peru, and to the East by Cuba.

The original use for these seeds are made by shamans in order to gain knowledge in curing practices and ritual, as well as the causes for the illness.

Known in Mexico as Ololiúqui, the seeds contain ergine (LSA), an ergoline alkaloid similar in structure to LSD.

Its use is not as wide as Salvia, but among shamans, Rivea seeds are used very often, even more than Maria Pastora.

Texas on the right path for Salvia Divinorum regulation

Texas Senate Bill 257 that prohibits the sale or delivery of Salvia Divinorum or the active ingredient Salvinorin A to minors under 18 was passed by the State Senate and now referred to the Texas House for further consideration.

This is a great step for Salvia to be regulated and not just banned without any previous research, I really hope that other US States follow this kind of behavior to give the place that this herb really deserves.

I've been reading about Salvia Divinorum, but most of the places I've found talk about Salvia Extracts.

I've been asking myself what shamans say about their precious plant is being converted into an industrialized concentrate, just like they make sugar from cane.

Swine flu in Mexico.

You might be wondering why Mexico is the only country in the world with confirmed swine flu deaths (so far).

That question has a lot of answers, one of them is obviously that our country was the first one where this virus sprang.

Then there is our culture, we don't use to go to the doctor as often as other countries, because of money or ignorance on the gravity of a given illness. Specially on this one, that it appears as a mere flu, few Mexicans go to the doctor when they have one.

Those two circumstances made of Mexico the perfect party place for this new virus. In other words, we were taken off-guard.

Mexican government have been taken the right decisions so far, and population is observing the recommended safety rules for this case.

At first, I thought that the measures taken by our government were too magnified for this issue. But now that I know more about the history of previous pandemies (google SARS) I think that world governments are doing the right thing. You can never over-react when taking care of your health.

I've said repeatedly that Salvia Divinorum is not as bad as law makers perceive it. That it should be regulated as alcohol or cigarettes have.

In addition to this, there's another legal area where Salvia fits to be compared with.

Medications have been lately in the eye of the storm (though this is a misplaced use for this phrase, because the eye of a storm is always quiet) because most of them have as much adverse effects as they cure diseases, specially those for treating mental illnesses.

The way health departments in several countries have been managing new artificial medicines tests for their final use in the population is embarrassing and irresponsible.

When congressmen try to ban a relatively recent botanical discovery as Salvia Divinorum and they aren't doing their job in other areas like medicine regulation, they're just being as reckless as those teenagers trying Salvia.

I'm positive that more than 10% of medicines have killed those that they're supposed to heal, just because their unknown side effects or 'cause they were used by minors as consequence of improper storage.

If you want a drug-free and safer place for our minors, start fixing what you've left unfinished, with their proper testing on humans, maybe then you could try to regulate new plants and medicines the right way.

What your governments don't want you to know.

I'd like to know how much you've heard about global warming and those kind of stuff, because I've been seeing some signals that I would like to share with you.

I'm sure you knew about the "Earth day", where several countries unplugged the electricity of their monuments for one hour as a sign of empathy with our mother earth.

I don't know about your countries, but here in Mexico have several water cuts per week, I think that's systematically, but they manage to come out with a different excuse each time for the people not to tell. As an example, in Mexico City, the most populated in the world, they left a quarter of the city without water around 4 days.

They said that they were giving maintenance to the main pipes of the Cutzamala water system. That would've been ok for everyone, but after they did this "maintenance" they keep doing water supply cuts to that same part of the city, now arguing that "it hasn't rained enough".

To end this story, now they're asking, almost pushing government offices employees to save energy, to shut off any device they're not using, without an explanation.

I know this could be just me, but I don't buy those electricity and water cuts lightly. Something is going on that we're not worth to tell. In my opinion the water is running out, the electricity is running out, the world power supply is going down. They know about this, and they don't want regular people to know.

They just want to keep the power as long as they can, no matter who may suffer because of this.

If I scared you just get some Kratom extract or some Salvia to ease the inevitable truth.

Now that the time has passed, I have a clearer view of our goals as a whole, at least on the part I'm in charge of.

I'm doing things with a defined purpose and orientation. I realized it because I'm doing some of my old duties with slight changes, and at the same time I'm aware of the goals for what I'm writing or modifying.

When starting working on Salvia Extracts, I had a narrow view of the goals and duties in charge of me. With the help and patient of my boss, I've been able to create my own space and ideology to help on the general goals of this company.

It's funny that sometimes we need an outsider to realize what we have, or the potential we can reach.

This is what's happening with salvia divinorum in Mexico. Before my boss informed me about Salvia, I wasn't aware of its existence. Salvia is Mexican and I didn't know it, and I guess most of Mexicans still don't.

That's just one example for our situation as a country, after the oil we produce, tourism is our primary source of money. I think this mostly happens because people of other nations see what we haven't seen by ourselves, or at least our government. I don't think it has to do with a"sophisticated" way of advertise our country by our tourism department.

This is also true between individuals, when someone makes you believe a little more in you than just by yourself.

I didn't mean that me and Mexico are the only ones with these characteristics. In fact I'm referring to the whole humanity, most of the times it takes another person to point out our strengths and weaknesses. In those cases we mess it up or learn great lessons, depending on our circumstances.

I guess that if Mexican know more about this enigmatic herb, they would buy salvia instead of all those drugs and alcohol bad for our self-growth and inner peace.

I finally finished modifying meta-tags on our website. My boss left me alone with this task, he hasn't checked the results yet but I know he's gonna like my work.

Some of the keywords we're targeting for SEO are in the second page of Google, and some others are getting close to the first page. I hope that with the changes we made all our keywords reach the first page in less than 15 days.

There's some On-site SEO work to do, but I'll need the opinion of my boss prior to do this.

Now that I saw the text on our pages, I realize that it has enough quality content on each of them to avoid making major changes to them and continue with our back-linking strategy.

By the way, I don't know who wrote the meta keywords that were at our web pages, but this person didn't write correctly the words salvia divinorum, they wrote it like: saliva diviorum, or divorium, I hope that it didn't affected us all this time.

Finally my boss is letting me do what I think is best or at least one of our priorities to get more traffic: On-site SEO.

On-site SEO is to organize the info inside your website specially oriented to make it easier for SE spiders to find it and to index it.

This info is divided into meta-tags, inside linking, page indexing, variable and quality content, and others.

Right now I'm learning about meta-tags, which are not one of the important parts for SEO if modified alone.

In our case this is important because our website name is not related to what we're selling, so by modifying our meta-tags we're explaining to SE and our potential customers using them, in some degree what our specific products are.

In example, instead of just telling to SE that we're blackhatbotanicals, we put additional info in the meta-tags to let them know that we sell salvia, rivea seeds, etc.

This way, when Search Engines index our website, they will read this info and relate our name with our products, and put them in the description or their search results, letting our potential customers to know what our site is about.

Of course this is worth too little if not done together with other changes in the website and Off-site SEO, and that's exactly what I'm gonna do.

Hello dear viewers, we've been doing some important changes on our strategies to have more traffic to our website, there has been some days with few sales, and I think one of the reasons why people don't buy salvia is because of the economical crisis we're in.

I don't know how's your perception about this economical crisis, but I think that the G-20 summit placed at the UK won't bring the solutions needed for this matter.

The ones ruling our countries are trying to regulate banks and financial organizations when the problem is deeper than that. In my opinion, this is not a matter of regulation but a problem of ethics in all levels.

Is true that wall street investors and real state corporations were the one spotted at first, but if we go lower in this chain, we'll see that this is a problem of pure, simple and at the same time complicated ethics on every person involved in providing or receiving a mortgage, loan or credit.

Credit is a variant of trust, and to handle trust people needs to have enough sense of ethics and responsibility, whether is by accepting a loan application from someone with a bad credit history, or by this person to ask more than he's able to pay.

I'm not sure if you know what I'm trying to say, but I think that by just applying new regulations to the top companies and banks won't do much if the low-level employees and regular people don't have enough sense of responsibility and ethics for their respective economical situation.

Unfortunately, all of them are expecting that someone else (ie. presidents and legislators) solve the crisis that in a sense was allowed to happen by themselves.

When every person starts taking their part of blame on the worldwide economical crisis then we'll have this problem on the right path to be fixed. I really hope that they start doing this the soonest possible, in any case, the solution is in their hand.

Of course! Sooner or later this hard work had to take its toll.

I'm the fool for thinking that selling salvia divinorum 2k miles away from the boss would be the best job on earth.

My boss manages to give me more and more tasks every week, I don't know how he does this, sometimes I think he doesn't sleep thinking: "What would be the next work form Manuel? The harder the better (I meant the work, of course)"

But I'm up to the challenge, I'm a Mexican anyway, born to work everyday for low pay.

I'm not complaining, the problem is that I've been feeling weak from a week ago, I wasn't in my 100%, and I'm not good for anybody being like this.

So I went to buy some vitamins, but not just any vitamins, I was looking for 2 special ingredients: Ginko Biloba and Ginseng. I'm taking one per day with my breakfast, I've never tried vitamins before, just Omega 3 which wasn't much of a difference, but these ones are working excellent, just exactly what I needed.

I'm not a fan of medication on any form, but I don't want to waste my bosses time and money with me being lazy.

One of the things I like a lot beside selling salvia is to learn. Not just because it's inherent to human beings, but also because it comes natural to me.

But I just don't stay there, only applying what I've learned, but starting to improve all those techinques and systems I've learned.

What I mean with this, is now that I've had enough time to learn about SEO, my brain is starting to get the whole idea. With this advantage, my goals must change, from learning the basics, to apply and improve what I know, even innovating some established ideas related to SEO.

The next step after learning from zero to a degree of discerning between good and bad decisions, is to know what is useless, a waste of time, to focus in what really matters. I think I have the tools and the knowledge to start doing some effective and worth-doing links for our site.

I can tell you that this is gonna be a slower process, but a more effective one too. Just like when you separate the good grains from the debris. Slow but focused only on what matters.

I'm not saying I'm smart, I think this is something anybody can do on any subject, with the right amount of time and info, which is something I have to thank my boss, he's very pacient.

One thing that I've learned systematically is that you must not try to sell a product you don't believe in.

I was never good at selling, but I always thought it was because I didn't like the product in question. Of course, I was never sure about this asumption, because I never found a product I liked.

Now that I'm selling salvia extracts, and after all this time reading about it, I really believe in it, even though the misunderstanding most of the people have about this herb.

After all the info I've got about Salvia, knowing all the opposition it gets from lawmakers, and their reasons to turn it into something illegal, I get to the conclusion that this is all about lack of knowledge on this subject.

The main reason they give to ban salvia is that it's been used by teenagers that we all can watch at youtube.

But in the end, this is just a matter of responsibilities.

Why they don't ban alcohol also? Because they already have penetrated all our society, economically and culturally, though alcoholic beverages is causing more deaths per day, directly and indirectly, than Salvia in its whole existence.

What does responsibility fits in all of this?

Under the premises given above, there are only 2 ways of considering salvia's legality:

1.- Instead of ban it, regulate it, just like they do with alcohol. Why don't they do this?

The main reason for this, it's because parents are leaving their responsibilities to others more and more. This reflects on their desire of banning a herb, instead of regulating it and take care of their teenager sons.

2.- I agree that they ban salvia, only if they also ban some products like alcoholic beverages, because those products kill more people than any legal drug in the present day.

Doesn't matter what output salvia gets on this, but every parent needs to get the responsibility of their son's actions. Don't think that just because there's a "M", "Explicit language", "Drink responsibly" or any of those warnings in some products labels, the job is done for you!

Meanwhile, buy salvia if it's still legal in your country or state, Black Hat Botanicals is the best.

One of the first investigations about Salvia Divinorum were done in the year of 1962 by Albert Hofmann, he was one of the discoverers of the efects of LSD, and Gordon Wasson, an expert on ethnomycology. They conducted an expedition to the rural areas of Oaxaca, Mexico.

Salvia Divinorum is a specimen of the Mint family used by Mazatec shamans to foretell the future and some healings. It's name means "Sage of the Diviners" or " the Divine Sage. The Mazatec know it as Maria Pastora (Virgin Shepherdess)

The active ingredient that provides all the hallucinogen properties to this herb is called Salvinorin A, composed of oxygen, hydrogen and carbon. To feel the effects it's only needed 300 micrograms (300 millionts of a gram) Even so, this plant must not be compared to any drug natural or artificial.

It's effects can be felt right after inhaled. Lasting in maximum around ten minutes and going down after 30 mins.

Well, guys, I warned you about this, my boss is back on track.

I knew this deceiving calm wouldn't last for long. My boss came up with another idea to make me work a little more.

I have to paste some articles in many different websites, all in one day, of course, without neglecting my other duties. Which I almost do, because I didn't post on this blog in the last 2 days.

Economic crisis in Mexico.

It's been said that economic crisis is global, so I'm gonna depict my very personal point of view about the economic situation that surrounds me.

It's not a secret that Mexico, as many other countries in the world, depends in great part on the United States economics.

From this scenario, Mexico separate from other countries in two main branches: Tourism and the dollar supply from Mexicans working in the US. In fact, after our oil, dollar supply from America is our main GDP (Gross Domestic Product). And most of our tourists are from the US.

Our President, included the Economic Secretary have been said that we'll not take the direct hit of the global crisis, that our inflation rate is one of the lowest in Latin America, and there's nothing to worry about.

But the press replies that that's an optimistic way of seeing things, but not based in facts. This is something I'm not informed enough to tell you whose right or wrong.

Locally, I've seen that self-employed, specially construction-related ones (from contractors to temporary laborers) have already felt the lack of work opportunities. On the other hand, Sinaloa and particularly Culiacan, have strong economic basis, specially because it's an agricultural state, and produce is the basic for any country.

After meditating a little about our expectations as a nation, I sense that our future depends in great part on the events that about to happen in our neighbor country at the North. I really think that the worst part hasn't arrived yet, not to Mexico. I think there's a natural delay on our country's reaction to the imbalance at the North, so, if America continues in it's downhill, sooner or later we'll see and feel the real impact on our own side of the border.

But even if our country enters a recession, Sinaloa won't be one of the severe affected. This is a strong State, specially because we have a history dealing with problems of a different kind and being successful about it.

I encourage to any of my readers to come and spend your vacations in Mexico. If you're looking for fun and relaxation, we have them of any kind.

Keeping on SEO.

After reading my last posts about SEO, you would be asking yourselves, Where do we put all those backlinks?

Well, there are a lot of options to choose from: link directories, press releases, forums, blogs, comment boxes, link exchanges, that means, any place that allows you to write a link with or without an anchor text.

But that's not just it, links have another classification, there are poor links, and quality links. The difference stands on the quality of the content in the website where you put that link. The hard part is to tell the difference between the regular and the quality ones. Following this logic, there are quality link directories, press releases, etc.

Why is this important? Because SE spiders not just look for backlinks, but also the context quality, page ranking, changing content, etc. of the website they're located at.

It's not the same to put "buy salvia" or "Kratom" at A-Z directories than to put them at DMOZ (wich belongs to Google).

It requires some practice and patience to discern between good and bad quality websites, few of them are very easy to tell, some are easier, but they would cost you as if it was advertisement.

So, you have to make a balance between quality and cost, if you have some money to spend on it, or quality and time, if you don't want to spend money on it.

I'm not an expert on this, all this articles are my point of view after all my experiences doing this job as one of my duties at BHB.

The question is:

"I have heard more news about gangs that are kidnapping people to hold them ransom. Has this been a problem in Culiacan or Mazatlan? Have tourists been targeted outside of the traditional tourist areas, for example?"

That's another problem, related a little bit more with the police than with drug dealers. The events I told you on one of my posts had forced to some police men to resign their jobs fearing that they are a clearer target by keeping them.

But they're too used to have good amounts of money from drug dealers to suddenly change to nothing, so one of the ways they take is kidnapping.

They use their former uniforms, batches, and knowledge acquired in their former job as police men, and command kidnappers gangs to keep their economic lifestyle as same as before.

They usually target successful business owners, politicians, doctors or their close relatives to extort them.

Remember that these are ex-police so they have a similar method to investigate, follow, and kidnap people, which wouldn't be easily applicable to tourists.

If you think a little, you'll know that is not viable to kidnap a tourist, for several reasons:

- They wouldn't be able to get their activities as they'd do with a regular citizen (work or school schedules, daily activities, etc.)
- They don't know how much money they could take from each of them (their economical status).
- They wouldn't know who to contact to extort.
- They don't want to mess with foreign law enforcement (they're not like ours).

There are some more, but I trust in your intelligence to imagine them.

I'm not saying that if they see the opportunity they wouldn't do it, but it's not in their minds as something worth doing or profitable.

There's this variation of kidnapping called "Express kidnapping" (Yes, we even have classifications)

This one is more feasible to happen. They take a person into a car, and give him a "ride" over the city, visiting some ATM's to make him take the money from his credit cards.

With some prevention methods this can be minimized.

And last but not the least. Talking locally. I'm not bragging about this, a decade ago we had problems with kidnapping in Sinaloa, but one of our former Governors (Juan S. Millan) created an elite force specialized on dealing with kidnappers. Since then, Sinaloa has one of the lowest rates on kidnapping in the nation.

I haven't heard about the kidnapping of a tourist anywhere in Sinaloa ever, I'm not saying it never happened, this is just my personal knowledge. There has been some deaths of tourist in Mazatlan, but not related to drug dealing or kidnapping, not even to violence, one committed suicide, and some die drowned trying to swim where is not allowed. I would tell you if I know something, as I'm telling you this:

They killed a French Science Teacher about 3 weeks ago in Mexico City. A gang of robbers followed him after he exchanged 5,000 Euros (not the exact amount) and some dollars at the Mexico City International Airport. It seemed that their method was to stay near the exchange place checking who exchanged a good amount of money, then followed him in several cars, hijack them, and go away with the money. In this case the French didn't want to let go the bag with the money and they killed him.

I'm saying what I know, and I'm not one of those people who tries to hide the truth, violence it's happening in Mexico, and unfortunately it was a foreigner at that time.

I don't know much about the rest of the touristic places in Mexico.

I had a strange episode with one of our customers at the chat.

He was very interested on Kratom extracts, specially about their relaxing properties. He asked about Rivea seeds also.

But the main point is that he wanted to low his stress at work. I personally think that's the right use for Kratom. This customer confessed he was just gathering info, even from other online stores. Let's continue with SEO vocabulary before I start explaining the methods.

On-site SEO is to build or change a website with the intention of being more attractive to SE spiders.

This keywords may help or affect the overall ranking of a website, so programmers must be aware of the keywords they put or erase in it. I.e. Salvia extracts, salvia divinorum.

Ok, so what's a spider? It's the regular name for the program of each SE in charge of checking every website to set the ranking each SE gives. Some times is called robot, or bot. But spider sounds better, because if you represent those programs graphically, you'll have a dot as a source and a lot of straight lines pointing anywhere outwards, just like the spider shape.

There's this internal linking, that is just the same as the backlinking, but inside the same webpage. So, if you have several pages in one site, you link them together, or you can direct all the links, or most of them to the page you want to be more popular for the SE spiders. There are a lot of mathematical and graphical equations to get the best result using internal linking, but some people think it's just a waste of time.

And last but not least, the content of your page. Most of people agree that spiders look for a daily or weekly variable content to give a page a high rank. Remember meta-tags? Well, it's said that if spiders find that the keywords used there don't relate to the content of the page, they would low this page's rank. This is just an hypothesis, but better to do it and not needing it than don't and to need it.

There are some other stuff out there, but they're usually experiments, nothing proven. On-site SEO is as complex as the spider's algoritm.

There are more pix of my travel to Los Mochis.

They asked me how I felt to travel in an area with so many security problems. Well, I'll tell you that after I show you some pics taken when going out from Culiacan.

This one it's a Jeep-Chrysler dealer, brand news, or course.

Culiacan has several new car-dealer brands that you'd hardly find anywhere else in Latin America. With the risk of forgetting some of them, these are: Ford, Chevy, Fiat, Volvo, VW, Seat, Mitsubishi, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Cadillac-Hummer. I'll show you some pix of those when I have time to take them.

Our USE (Unidad de Servicios Estatales), State Services Unit in spanish. Similar to DMV but with several diferent ID's (Passport, Birth certificates, etc.)

Oxxo, similar to American am-pm or 7-eleven

Pemex, gas station. We only have this brand because it's nationalized.

I'll start with my reply to that comment I received.

I think that the international view of Mexico is a little different than it's own population. I guess every country in the world has the same problem. But Mexico has been labeled as a country with too much violence compared to Pakistan by the US.

I'd be lying if I tell you that all things happening right now aren't true, but in our case there are some specific areas, to some specific individuals which violence is usually directed.

In Culiacan, we've living this way for at least 2 decades, to the point that we're almost used to, not intolerant, or insensible, but just with a sense of where the danger is and how to avoid it most of the time.

Since the beginning, Calderon, our current President, took an offensive against all drug cartels in Mexico. Most known to be in Sinaloa and Tijuana at that time, with some other areas less violent (Cd. Juarez and Michoacan).

Of course the drug dealers wouldn't be standing by as the feds and the army were chasing after them, they moved to other areas and started to plan strategies.

One thing you really have to have in mind when thinking about drug dealers and police and how regular people sees all this, is that we all know what they do, how they do it, when and where, if people knows this, of course police and government too.

So this is not a matter of "finding" them. It's a matter of taking the decision to go and to get them. Our President took the decision, he pressed from the highest rank of the Feds and down to the local police.

Of course, most of police and feds, if not everyone, were involved in some level with drug cartels. Before this, they were doing well serving the cartels, and appearing to serve the citizens. But now, they were pushed to do what they supposed to, to go after any drug dealer they know and put it in jail.

What do you think cartels think about this? Of course! They felt betrayed by their former servants. So they took it against the police, feds or anyone involved with them. How hard was for them to do that? Nothing, they have the guns, the money, and the info.

That's how all those killings started and keep going. Killings from police to drug dealers, and vice-versa, from drug dealers to some businessmen that gave some info to the feds to save their own interests, and vice-versa.

I won't lie telling you that there weren't some innocent people killed in the middle of these settle downs, it hurts that any person is killed anywhere, anytime, doesn't matter if it was a drug-dealer or a passing-by pedestrian, here or in Irak. Most of people killed were involved in some level with those cartels or some other delictive area, whether be a cop, a regular citizen, a congressman, a taco place owner, etc. And as cartels not knowing exactly who betrayed them, are shooting some of their former allies just in case.

What does it have to do with my personal feeling of safety? Everything, just like any person in Culiacan living with this environment all these decades. I'm not involved with any drug dealer, haven't heard of it, and I'm not asking questions to know about them. I'm not a drug buyer, and I'm not laundering money. So, the only way I could be killed by a drug dealer, fed, or the army, is by being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and that can happen to anyone, anywhere in the world. We can't be living in fear of dying, that won't be "living" in the first place.

So for anyone from anywhere in the world who hesitates on coming to spend some vacations in Mexico, you're safe! Unless you have something to do with drug dealers.

PD: The ones innocent killed directly by drug dealers are press journalists that wonder around and find something they wouldn't supposed to. That gives you a hint about how we use our right of free speech: til death. I honor them for their courage.

Now you know what a "keyword" is on SEO.

Let's continue with another important part of this complicated topic.

We have the "backlinks" they are exactly what their name shows. On the web, you have links inside your web site. But there are some links from outside your site, that leads to yours, those are the famous "backlinks".

Backlinks can be simple: (http://www.blackhatbotanicals.com) or with "anchor text": (i. e. salvia) this means that you put one or several words as the title of a simple link.

Why not just write the simple form of a backlink? Because for advertising purposes, it doesn't look good to have just an url address, plus, the anchor text provides a better definition for the website backlinked to it.

Backlinks are one of the main things that SE (search engines) look for, not just the number of them pointing to its source, but the quality of the text where it's embedded, the anchor text used on them, the congruence within the article, review or paragraph where the backlink is located, etc.

You can write backlinks in web directories, forums (where allowed), comment boxes, press releases, blogs, etc. not exactly in that order, even on images, videos, and banners.

There are some SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies I've learned from my research and its application for our website.

We put a lot of effort to get BHB on the track of success on Google Search, me, on daily, boring tasks, some times going blind because of my lack of experience on the subject, and to my boss, whose trust on my instincts and capabilities allowed me to get enough experience to get the page the rank it currently has.

Everything starts with the so-called keywords, which are not other thing than the words the SE (Search Engine) user writes on its text box to look for the web page that could fit his expectations.

In our case we use "salvia extracts" "salvia" "salvia divinorum" and others. In example, when somebody writes "salvia extracts" on a SE, we want our page to be on the top of the list the SE gives. All our efforts are focused on making the website to appear on the first page of it, which should be good because it would be at the sight of a potential customer.

On the next days, I'll be getting deep on what have been my technique on getting the web page where it is right now.

Those pictures you're seeing above are from the bus station of Culiacan. It's called one of the biggest of Latin America.

I'm not sure if those buses are used somewhere else in America but I think those are top of the line on quality buses, the cost of the ticket is quite cheap. Most of those bus brands are European, so I think they use them also.

Yes, but don't get so excited, this is a good new for me.

I'm finally gonna rest a while from all this heavy job I'm into.

Specially from my boss, he has been too nice lately, so this is going to be like the calm before the storm for me.

I'm gonna watch the Grammy's Awards tonight, because I'm fan of one of the nominees, I won't tell you who, that's my little secret. Ok, I'll tell you what: if she wins, I'll let you know who she is. At least you know it's a she, and she has already won some Grammys, but this happened a long time ago.

I'll be off working one week, but before you start crying, I swear I'll try to keep up with my daily posting as long as I have an internet connection nearby.

I thing is time for you to tell me something about your Salvia Divinorum experiences. I think this would enrich a little more my knowledge from your experiences.

I've read that the shamanic way of using salvia is by smashing fresh leaves, more than 50 per dose, and the resultant juice is mixed in a glass of water. Then you have to drink all the liquid from the glass, stay in a dark room with the least sound possible.

This is the basic stuff of what I've been reading. If you want to know a full explanation about the shamanic use of Salvia, let me know. I even might convince my boss of paying me a trip to Oaxaca and give you a first-hand info about all this heavenly plant.

I'm going to stop talking about Salvia Divinorum for a while and show you some pictures I took with my laptop. I hope you enjoy them. This is Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, the place where I was born, and I'm currently living.

I'm gonna start from the outside to the inside. This is a park in front of my house, some of you might be thinking: "Wow! they have parks in Mexico!" And yes!, we have some. But the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Now, this is the house I'm currently living, but I move very often so, if I move again, I'll let you know, hopefully with pictures. Yes, those jail bars you see on the window are not optic illusions, they're real, and that's to prevent any person to enter the house "by mistake". You may think: "What about the door?" The door has iron bars also, but in this picture the iron door is open, duh.

Ok this is my room. Yeah, I know it's just a mattress, you eagle eye! But I'm very comfortable there, the weather is not as cold as it could be, and I also have a TV, for a person like me, that's all you need.

So, this is something a little more personal than what I was writing before, I hope you enjoy it. I'm planning to show you more pictures of my city, and maybe with this change the negative image it has internationally.

You won't believe what happened tonight! If somebody tells me this I wouldn't either!

In the way of my research for advance on SEO strategies for our site, sometimes the obvious option is not the best, and even turns out to be the worst, and unfortunately, this time, that was the case.

I went there mainly because my boss told me to, and I really think this was a great idea. He told me to ask for info in SEO forums, so I started with a question that opened pandora's box, because my boss didn't like it. So I had to change the approach to abide my boss perspective.

From then, my boss was ok with my posts, but now the SEO forum's moderators were the ones who took a piece of me, and it wasn't pretty.

They let me know that they don't like people asking some kind of info for free , I think I touched a nerve there, and I replied asking for a little education, because the words and sentences they used didn't seem correct to me. They even mock of my place of origin.

But I learned a lot from that, very little related to SEO unfortunately, but now I know that those forums are made by the same guys that are looking for customers, they don't want to help at all, and the info you could get from the answers that are already there, are not the important ones, because, using some basic logic, they will always hide the answers that really work for themselves and for paying customers.

Some few hours ago I learned that I shouldn't tell them that we were trying to make people to buy salvia at BHB, because they are just greed people looking for the next big business, in other words, they're just machines hungry for money.

Yes, I know you all missed me.

Let me tell you what happened, Friday night I entered to write my daily post in this blog, and I couldn't get online, I just couldn't. Then on Saturday I managed to get online but it was a variable speed, the pages frizzed when they were loading, or they didn't load at all.

That was a nightmare, I spent all of my work day on Saturday fighting with this problem.

I have a 3G technology internet on my laptop, I thought this was the best option, so I wouldn't go offline when I'm out of home, and it has been somewhat good, it has helped on some circumstances, but sometimes it gets too slow, depending on my location, because I read that I share the same IP with other users nearby.

Unfortunately, yesterday was the worst day, and is making me doubt about the reliability on this kind of internet system. I wouldn't discard it for what happened yesterday but I'll try not to change my location if not necessary.

One thing I'm realizing about SEO is that the results are not as tangible as they could be, but I think that's because I'm not experienced enough, I still don't know if what I'm doing right now, will give the results needed.

This is something I have to overcome, more than just understand all the texts about SEO on the web, I need to acquire some intuition about what's good for our website's unique circumstances.

It's not just a matter of knowing what the site's lacking of, or just to write "buy salvia" or "salvia extracts" in a site with good traffic.

I've been doing baby steps forward, but there's so much ahead, and my boss demands it, I'll try to stay constant on this, but this is a job with too many variables in the results. Hope that my boss understands that I'm not a pro, and that these little steps on SEO are great jumps for my formation.

Hello dear viewers. These last days have been a little rough, my boss is getting more and more obnoxious everyday. There have been some progress on our SEO strategies. And I'm confident that we'll be raising steadily our rank at Google's SE.

I had a customer yesterday that asked about Salvia strains, and Luna strain. I didn't exactly know what he was talking about at that time, I asked him to explain it with other words, he only managed to say the exact same thing again. The only thing I could do, was to Google it and then I knew what he meant, unfortunately, the customer logged out before I had time to answer his question, so I'll answer it right now, if it helps in some way.

In the middle of the last century, few people brought live salvia plants directly from Oaxaca Mexico to America for study or growing purposes. In the end they reach to reproduce salvia plant in a controlled environment.

The descendents from that original salvia plant took a different path from the silvester ones grown back in Oaxaca, they had slight differences, some in the leaf shape, others in the leaf taste and some with slight changes in salvinorin A potency. They take their name from the last name of the person who brought them from Mexico, or the breeder gives a rare name for commercial advertising purposes.

All in all, the strain is just for advertising live salvia plants, and there is not a sensible difference among them to pick one over the others.

We don't need to talk about our salvia divinorum strain because of two reasons:

- We don't currently sell salvia divinorum plants, we sell salvia extracts.
- Our salvia comes directly from Mazatec territory in Oaxaca, Mexico, that means we use completely silvester and high potency salvia divinorum leaves for our extracts.

Today is an historic day, no only for America but for the whole world.

Barack Hussein Obama II is right now taking charge of the US administration. The common phrase all over the world around this event is: "I never thought it would happen in my life-time". Specially because the Bush's administration took away much of the world's hope in America, first because of the Irak issue, and then the economical crisis.

And Hope is Obama's introduction card to the world, furnished with the flag of change. A Hope that's not private to Americans, but to the whole world. This Hope he gives to the world, shold be enough for those with a glimpse of humanity, to feel good about Obama's arriving to the power the US presidency.

We're witnessing history, and we're part of it. My hope is that America embraces this opportunity of change, and reach a new level of civility and brotherhood. Because being America one of the more important countries in the world, if they progress, the rest of the world will follow.

The election of the first black American president, that changed the world's point of view to America. Now is really true that America, is the land of opportunities.

This is a tough task for Obama, he created big expectations, and because of this, he's not allowed to do anything less than that.

A few decades ago, an African-American had a dream, today, that dream became true. This teach us that we must never stop dreamming.

Today was a good day! Do you want to know why?

I'll tell you later, but before, I'll give you some uses you can give to your cell phone.

You know what a cell phone is for: Calling, texting, web surfing, chat, alarm, listen some music, or just to play games.

But I bet that you use it on some other ways that are not on the owner's manual.

Some of them are:

When you're in an awkward situation, like when you don't want to say 'hello' to the neighbor, you just pull out your cell and look busy.

Or when you're in a dark place, the cell's light can be used as a lamp.

Have you used it to defend yourself from dogs? If one of them barks to you, just play a ring tone, you'll see how it stops barking.

I guess I don't need to talk about the vibrator option... girls!

Do you know that you can check if a remote control is working by turning on your cell's camera and point the RC towards it an press any button? If you see a ray of light coming out of the RC, it's working.

You can make some sound devices to get the cell's code signal while you're calling. You can hear this: "tada ta, tada ta, tada ta" coming out of the speakers.

I saw a video on Youtube where you can pop a corn seed by putting it in the middle of three cells and making a multiple call to them. I'm not sure if that's real.

What the heck is SEO?

Do you guys know what SEO is?

Me neither some weeks ago, but my boss told me to do some research about it and to master this thing.

SEO means: Search Engine's Optimization. In other words, it means that you do some changes in your site and everything related to it, focused on getting a better ranking on the Search Engines results, as an example, if you "Google" Salvia Extracts, the page ranked on first place usually gets most of the clicks, and that means more selling for that page.

Right after this point, everything gets very technical (meta tags, spiders, bots, On-site, Off-site, backlinking, etc.), and too much theories about what works and what doesn't (backlinking, On-site, linking exchange, quality links, etc.)

So you can imagine the trouble that I have by getting all this figured out, and then, to put it into practice.

If there's someone out there that knows a little more than the things I wrote above, I'll be glad to hear your tips. Specially about backlinking, which was the subject that my boss recommended me to master.

As always, I would like to know about you and your questions about the site (BHB) where I'm working. Personal questions are welcomed also.

Salvia Tips for Newbies: Suggestions for an enjoyable experience

We keep getting requests for personalized suggestions in using Salvia Extract, so instead of coming up with a new answer every single time, we thought to publish our best tips for everyone to read. Add your tips as a comment and I'll add them to this list. Eventually, we'll graduate this list to the BHB Knowledge Base for everyone to use as a reference. If we get some good tips, maybe I'll break this up into sections that address each stage of the Salvia Extract experience. Let's make this as comprehensive as possible for the noobs!

-Find a Sitter you trust (a friend or relative)
-Use a glass pipe or bong for the best smoking experience
-Invest in a Butane lighter (to burn hotter and maximize vaporization of Salvinorins)
-Minimal lighting helps intensify experience
-Turn off distractions (TV, cell phone, etc.)
-Relaxing music helps set the mood (something by Enigma?)
-Be in a safe environment (your home, friend's home, etc.)
-Look at yourself in a mirror to break a mild Salvia "high" and get back to reality
-Once you inhale the smoke, hold it in 20-30 seconds
-At the first instant you feel something, take another hit fast (while you still can!)
-If you're not "breaking through", you're doing something wrong (light, music, loud friends, etc.)
-If you're laughing uncontrollably, focus and take another hit, or you'll keep laughing without breaking through (tell your sitter to step out for a bit if this helps you to focus)

For the purposes of this list, we're assuming you're using Salvia Extract, not leaf, tinctures, etc.

This last Thursday was a rough day. It seemed as if all the world was against me. But I think this wasn't just my personal view, some of the people that I know had a bad Thursday also.

I have a theory about this, I think that the universe has it's negative lapses, and that day was one of those breaks on our imperfect existence. It even took part of Friday's time to things begin returning to it's "regular" status.

I'm not sure if this is true, since I can't have contact with everybody all over the world to hold this as a fact.

If you agree with me, let me know on the messages box. Even if you don't agree, let me know, don't be shy.

I'm here to learn.

As an example for this, that day we got a huge order of salvia extracts from Belgium, paid through Paypal. We didn't even have time to smile when Paypal reversed the payment, arguing that it was for our safety. We really hope that all this is a misunderstanding and get this customer back to re-order.

I feel as if the guy above is playing with us, just like we play with dogs hanging a piece of meat at a height a little higher than it can reach, just to have fun watching it jump.

The Truth about "Sticky Salvia"

NOTE: This article is not a hit piece on Purple Sticky. They are a respectable company and a worthy competitor, offering a large selection of items we don't stock, like sexual party products, health and detox formulas, etc. Our only problem is with the way they, and many other companies, market their "sticky salvia".

Purple What?

One of the most popular brands of Salvia Extracts, often sold through mom and pop smoke shops, but offered online as well, is Purple Sticky Salvia. Although Purple Sticky started around the same time that we did, they combined aggressive marketing and their location in California (well known for its large number of smoke shops) to spread their products and name brand, fast.

So effective have they been, that literally hundreds of smoke shops around America now stock Purple Sticky Salvia Extract. How do we know? Because we keep flipping those customers to buy from us instead! How do we do that? Simply by educating the smoke shop owner about salvia extracts, how they are manufactured, what they should look for in a quality extract, and why "sticky salvia" is ripping them blind.

Sticky Salvia

Have you ever wondered what makes "Sticky Salvia"... well, sticky? For anyone with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry (and yes, we've got ours), the answer is obvious. First, however, let's read through this promotional material Purple Sticky sends out to retailers:

"Some companies claim to sell 10x and 20x. However, with crude salvia only one extract can be made based on the quality and quantity of the leaf. These companies sell some as 10x and some as 20x, hoping none realizes the exact amount of the active component Salvinorin-A.

One can tell which is 10x and which is 20x, because the color of Salvinorin-A is black.

For example, 20x should be twice as dark as 10x. An informed person can clearly see this difference! Moreover, upon depositing Salvinorin-A onto non-pulverized leaf, differentiating between 5x and 10x is difficult, since the flakes of green leaf obscure the color. Companies that sell cheap salvia extracts rely on this!"

The first time we read this, we thought it was a joke. To start, Salvinorin-A is crystalline white, like fine sugar, not black! It doesn't have a color. That means no matter how much salvinorin-A you dump on green leaf, the color of the extract should remain relatively constant.

In fact, the only perceptable change you should see is tiny little crystals of salvinorin-A reflecting light off the leaf surface, like hundreds of little sparkles.

"Black" is Bad

Where is this "black" coming from that Purple Sticky is talking about? It's not the Salvinorin-A, so what is it? What's black in a leaf? Natural tars, resins and waxes - to get technical, lipids. Tars, resins, waxes... that explains where the "sticky" comes from. So what?

Well, normally, these lipids would be filtered out in the extraction process. For example, here at BHB we use several different levels of filtration to separate out these lipids, along with other impurities, to prevent them from contaminating our extract.

Why is removing these natural tars and waxes so important? Because if we don't remove them, this black gunk will end up in your lungs! Your body will forcibly cough it up, if you're lucky, but in the meantime those tars will act like a toxin, leaching poisons into your bloodstream. Is that what you want? We didn't think so.

In addition to the health aspect, you should view this from an economic sense also. Let's say you buy 1 gram of extract. Well, if 20% of this 1gram is harmful tars and waxes, you actually bought only 0.8grams of extract. In other words, you wasted 20% of your money! By cleaning the extract to remove these impurities, you're getting the full product value for your money.

Any way you look at it, BLACK IS BAD!

Marketing Shmarketing

So, now that we understand that "black is bad", why would Purple Sticky tell their customers that black is good? Like we wrote before, anyone with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry would know that black=lipids=unhealthy. And here we get to the bottom line.

Purple Sticky doesn't filter their extract to remove these unhealthy impurities. That's why their extract is black and sticky. Why don't they filter the extract? Maybe they don't know how, or maybe they don't care about your health. That's a question only they can answer. The worst part, from our standpoint, is that they and other companies purposely MISLEAD customers about what is a high quality extract. They try to claim that their product is good by lying about what a good product is. That's like a coal company saying that coal is clean because all the toxic byproducts that get smokestacked into the atmosphere are actually good for us. In other words, they compensate for a poor product with excellent (misleading) marketing.

This is a serious accusation to make, but we stand by it. With the amount of money Purple Sticky makes, there is no reason why they can't afford to make clean, high quality extract. They screw their salvia extract customers, and that's the bottom line.

At BHB, you're not going to get a "sticky", "black" Salvia extract. With us, you will always get the best extract we know how to produce. How can you tell? Look closely at our extract under a light. You see all those sparkles? Those are pure salvinorin-A crystals. The higher the extract strength (5x, 10x, 20x, etc.), the more crystals you will see. This is my third post, and I feel at home already!

After a long workday writing all kind of explanations, it's relaxing just to write the events of my day. All started by this guy from our distribution center, asking me about Mexico, that if it's true that it's on the brink of political disaster. I didn't know what to say, I just live here, never happened something violent to myself or my family. But I realized that in the US have a wrong view of what's happening on my country. I don't want to waste the rest of this blog explaining all of this, but on the next ones I'll be letting you know my answers to all the questions about this subject.

Later this day, I attended this customer, asking for his package of salvia, and this guy went right to the point: "I'm mad, and I want to know why I haven't received my package!" So, of course part of my job is to ease things, calm the storm, you know, usual stuff, so I just ask his data, order date and number, he gave it to me and I saw at our database that this guy lives outside the US, that's why he was confused, he thought that the shipment would arrive 3-5 days, which is true, but just within the US, outside of it 5-7 business days, unless they buy $25 EMS Shipping, plus there is no tracking number for international orders, they told me that it may take up to 2 weeks sometimes. I won't bother you with details of my job right now, but I explained all this to him and he seemed satisfied with my answer.

In the end, this customer was relaxed and pleased with the info, and I felt proud that things went from bad to good, and not the other way around. I even direct him to our forum because he had some questions about our extraction process.

By the way, I think I can teach you a little about salvia divinorum, because most of people doesn't know anything about it. But that will be on my later posts.

Ok fellas, I came late to work today. I had this things to do for my girl and they took me all the morning.

So when I got online to work, yes, there was my boss, so I had to explain all the things I had to do on the morning, so he won't take all those hours out of my paycheck.

He was a reasonable man after all, I was preparing for the usual preach, but he was magnanimous. I think he was in good mood.

Now, when I started to work, that was new! One of our customers was asking about his package, when he was going to have it. All those people are so crazy about salvia extracts I'm new on the job and I still don't have all the answers, so I had to put him on hold and call our distribution center to check everything's ok, but when I got the info the customer didn't answer, he didn't even logged out the chat. I was like crazy writing: "Hello?" "Anybody there?", but nothing.

My boss asked me if everything was ok, I told him about that person, who by the way didn't leave other data than his order no. But the boss helped me to put all together and we agree on sending him an e-mail with all the data he requested.

You may think that was it, but no, half an hour later, the customer showed up and I asked him what happened, he just said "Sorry, I had to go out" So I let him know our resolution about his case and everything continued normal from there.

I was worried this guy had a heart-attack or fainted right in front of his pc.

By the way, I would be glad that some of you could help me on my English, it has been a long time since I wrote this much, and English is my second language. Any advice will help, since I would like to be a good writer.

Hello everyone! The world out there!

I always wanted to write a dairy, but as a man, it sounded girlish to me. I think this is the reason I'm writing now, I can't hide I like to write. I have some free time between my work hours, and I realize that this is the right time to start giving something of what I receive.

Most of them are though and stressful questions by the way. The main reason I need to write is as a distraction, and as an scape valve to keep stress away from driving me crazy.

So I'll talk mainly about my job and all related to it, I know you won't get bored about this, I never get bored here, if you follow me, you'll see why.

For now, it would be all, you'll be knowing about me more and more, and I hope you can write some comments about me or my problems. That would make me feel I'm not the only one with life pressures.
